Industrial safety and explosion protection are currently more a hot topic than ever in the powder and bulk solids processing industry and in process technologies.
IPB 2008 dealt with this explosive topic. The daily dust explosion in front of the exhibition centre impressively demonstrates the potential hazards, which are presented by HOERBIGER for the first time in China.

Concurrently conference
Organized by the Chinese Society of Particuology and East China University of Science and Technology, supported by NurembergMesse, the 6th Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Particuology and the Cross-Strait Technology Symposium on Particuology was held concurrently to IPB 2008.
Simultaneously, the 1st China International Symposium on Particles Technology and the 1st International Symposium on Gasification and Application were also convened.
Nearly 500 people participated in the conference with 67 foreign participants who come from 16 countries.
Speeches of foreign experts included: Professor J. Grace, Canadian College of Engineering; Professor Yu Aibing, Australian College of Science; Professor M. Takano, APPIE; and Professor S. Kang, Korean Society of Material Research.
