Against the backdrop of the global energy transition, the new energy industry is experiencing vigorous growth. Solid-state batteries, as a highly promising next-generation energy storage technology, are attracting widespread attention. Compared with conventional lithium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries–which replace traditional liquid electrolytes with solid electrolytes–offer significant advantages including enhanced safety, higher energy density, and longer cycle life. At present, China's solid-state battery industry still faces numerous bottlenecks in the powder preparation stage:
Pain Point 1: The "valley of death" from laboratory to production line–precise preparation of nano-scale powders and batch-to-batch consistency remain difficult to guarantee.
Pain Point 2: Challenges in ultra-fine grinding and particle size distribution control of sulfide/oxide electrolytes, which directly affect ionic conductivity and interfacial stability.
Pain Point 3: Difficulty transitioning from "batch production" to "continuous manufacturing"–high-precision hydrogen-controlled/atmosphere-controlled mixing technologies and solvent-free dry electrode processes urgently need breakthroughs.
Meanwhile, countries and regions including Europe, the United States, Japan, and South Korea are continuously increasing their investments in R&D and industrialization of solid-state battery materials, intensifying global competition. Chinese manufacturers of solid-state battery materials urgently need to overcome technological barriers and enhance their core competitiveness.
To this end, this forum has specially established Seminar on Production Solutions for Solid-State Battery Materials, co-organized by The Secretary of Chinese Society of Particuology and NürnbergMesse China Co., Ltd.
