Since the 14th Five‑Year Plan, China's pharmaceutical industry has entered a fast track of high‑quality development–innovative drugs have improved in both quantity and quality, while biopharmaceutical industrialisation technologies, intelligent manufacturing, and the green level of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) have significantly advanced. At the same time, with the deepening implementation of generic drug consistency evaluation and volum‑based procurement policies, quality control requirements for pharmaceutical powders have become increasingly stringent. As the most fundamental material form in pharmaceutical manufacturing, powder properties such as particle size distribution, morphology, and flowability directly affect drug safety, efficacy, and batch‑to‑batch consistency.

Currently, China's pharmaceutical powder industry still faces numerous bottlenecks in its development:

PainPoint1: Production difficulties – the "valley of death" from laboratory to commercialisation.

To address these challenges, the IPB Conference on Powder Technology Application - Seminar on Pharmaceutical Powder Production Solutions will be held, organised by NürnbergMesse China Co., Ltd. and Pharmaceutical,and co-organised by Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Pharmazeutische Verfahrenstechnik e.V. (APV) .The event is expected to attract 150 participants, including management, R&D, and technical teams from pharmaceutical powder enterprises, as well as equipment manufacturers, API and excipient technology/procurement professionals.
